Do you sell fish online or ship livestock?
No — we're a brick-and-mortar shop only. All livestock sales happen in-store at 2847 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota. This lets you see exactly what you're buying and ask questions before you commit.
What does your 2-week quarantine process actually involve?
Every fish goes into observation tanks for 14 days with proactive treatment — Copper Power for saltwater (protects against Ich and Velvet), Prazipro for flukes, and daily monitoring for feeding behavior and visible disease. We do not sell a fish that hasn't completed quarantine.
Do you install or maintain aquariums?
No — we sell livestock, equipment, and consultation, but we do not install tanks, plumb sumps, or run recurring maintenance routes. We will walk you through how to do it yourself or refer you to a local maintenance pro.
How much does a starter aquarium cost?
Starter freshwater kits run $80-$400 and include tank, filter, heater, and light. Starter saltwater FOWLR setups run $500-$1,000. Starter reef builds run $1,000-$2,500+. Livestock is separate. Our free setup consultation will give you a budget for your specific goals.
How does the free water testing work?
Bring about a cup of tank water in a clean container — no appointment needed. We test ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, and salinity (for marine). Results take about 10 minutes and we'll tell you what's likely causing any problem.
