Water testing in-store

Have you ever ordered a vibrant coral online, only to receive a pale, stressed-out piece in the mail?

We know that disappointment all too well, especially as a professional aquarium service team. Local homeowners and business owners need a reliable way to shop for their tanks.

Our dedicated coral room holds a rotating selection of SPS, LPS, and other live corals priced from $20 to $150.

Seeing the coloration, polyp extension, and growth in person makes all the difference.

We dip every single frag before it goes on sale to keep pests out of your tank. Marcus and the staff will match your coral selection to your exact lighting (PAR), flow, and chemistry.

Our team even offers free water testing to confirm your parameters before a big-ticket SPS purchase. Before you buy, review our reef chemistry triad guide for target Ca, Alk, and Mg ranges.

What we stock

The right livestock can transform an average tank into a stunning underwater display. We stock a massive variety of popular species for both beginners and advanced reefers.

Beginners often start with hardy softies like Zoanthids, while experienced aquarists look for challenging Acropora. Our systems are tuned to specific light intensities, ensuring each piece gets the 250 to 350 PAR needed for peak coloration.

  • SPS, LPS, and soft corals in a full coral room dedicated to reef livestock
  • Every frag dipped before sale using proven Bayer and ReVive solutions
  • See live coral in our system before you buy
  • Lighting and chemistry guidance with every single coral sale
  • Pricing stays fair at $20-$150 per frag

Why reef keepers trust our coral room

Buying corals online often means taking a gamble on filtered photos and hoping for the best. We understand the risks involved with buying fragile marine life through the mail. Shipping delays regularly cause water temperatures to drop, leading to high mortality rates for delicate pieces.

Our local store lets you view the actual health and polyp extension under real reef lighting before the bag is sealed. Hitchhikers like flatworms and nudibranchs are another massive headache for tank owners. We dip every single frag with Bayer or ReVive before it enters the sales system.

Seeing the polyp extension in person and knowing the frag is pest-free gives local hobbyists true peace of mind.

These professional dips effectively kill pests that typically hide on WYSIWYG frags. Our team wants your new additions to thrive, which requires stable chemistry.

You should bring in a water sample before spending serious money on SPS. We will test your calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium to give you an honest assessment.

ParameterIdeal Target RangeWhy It Matters For Your Tank
Alkalinity8-12 dKHStabilizes pH and fuels strong skeletal growth.
Calcium400-450 ppmServes as the primary building block for stony corals.
Magnesium1250-1350 ppmPrevents calcium from precipitating out of the water.

Stable numbers prevent a $150 Acropora from crashing due to an unexpected alkalinity swing. Our priority is the long-term success of your display.

Frequently Asked Questions

What coral types do you carry?

We stock SPS (small polyp stony — Acropora, Montipora, Stylophora), LPS (large polyp stony — Hammers, Torches, Frogspawn, Favias, Lobophyllia), and soft corals (Zoanthids, Mushrooms, Leathers, Xenia). Inventory rotates, so call or stop by to see what's in the coral room.

Do you dip corals before putting them on sale?

Yes. Every frag goes through a Bayer or ReVive dip before it enters the sales system. This kills hitchhikers — flatworms, nudis, montipora-eating nudibranchs, and similar pests — before they can reach your display tank.

Can I see the coral growing in your system before I buy?

That's one of the reasons people prefer buying frags from us over WYSIWYG online sellers. You can watch polyp extension, coloration under our lighting, and growth rate on frags we've been holding for a few weeks. What you see is what you actually get.

What do I need to have ready before buying SPS corals?

SPS need stable calcium (400-450 ppm), alkalinity (8-10 dKH), magnesium (1250-1350 ppm), and appropriate PAR (minimum 100-150 for most acros). Bring a water sample and we'll test your parameters before recommending specific SPS. Buying expensive acros into unstable water is the most common cause of RTN.

What lighting do your display corals run under?

Our coral room runs AI Hydra and Kessil A360X fixtures, so we can tell you the PAR range each frag was acclimated to. That matters when you're matching to your home display system.
